TOP Moonshots, Inventing Words, and Free Objectivist Books.
Hi there,
My favorite college aspect is how different your day-to-day can be. There are multiple places to go where you can meet interesting people with unorthodox points of view.
However, that comes with a caveat, you have to be that “weird” person to say “Hi” or ask “How’s It Going?” But after the first step, a million possibilities open up to learn about unique stories and special circumstances.
The best and the worst aspect of a big college is lots of people to meet but to cultivate stronger and deeper relationships, you need to be more, way more intentional.
I don’t network. I make friends.
Next week, I’ll publish an essay on why you shouldn’t network.
What do you think? Is networking important? or Is networking a flawed, nasty idea?
Curiosities 👨🔬🌝📚
1. More About My Research
I gave a research update presentation on the biophysics work I’ve been doing.
I share this to 1) show what biocomputational physics research can be like, 2) create the interest of more people, 3) I’m new to the field, and I have a lot to improve and learn, and perhaps a more experienced researcher reaches out and helps me find flaws and enhance my research.
2. TOP 50 Moonshots from 2000 to 2020
Although technological progress has slowed down, we have a lot to celebrate.
This article showcases the top 50 achievements during the last two decades and gives insight into what might be possible in the next 20 years.

My favorite was the education section!
3. Amazon Core Principles
Amazon is exceptional at elegantly making the complex, simple.
With the slogan, “Day 1,” Amazon shows us their work ethic, thinking, and mission.
Take a look at the Core Principles.
My favorite Amazon principle is “Have Backbone; Disagree and Commit.”
4. These Words Do Not Exist
Check out this word-creating website using machine-learning.
Need to find a name for an idea? Consider using a word that does not exist.
5. Free Objectivist Books for Students
Of all the technological progress thinkers, Jason Crawford is one I look up to the most.
He created this project to give free objectivist books to students. I already got mine (The Fountain Head).
What is “Objectivism? It’s Ayn Rand’s philosophy, which upholds reason, individualism, and capitalism.
